Construction

The Construction team offers a dynamic and flexible approach. We understand that it is more important than ever to protect yourself from the risk of disputes before and during a project and receive timely and cost effective advice if a dispute does arise.

We have experience in acting for private individuals, funders, developers, employers, contractors, sub-contractors, and construction industry professionals and have particular expertise in acting for educational and charitable bodies, including reviewing funding agreements. We can also assist construction firms in dealing with claims against directors and shareholder disputes as well as defamation claims.

On the contentious side, we have experience of litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, the County Court and the Appellate courts, arbitration, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution.  We understand the time and cost pressures a dispute places upon our clients and take a proactive approach to resolving issues quickly in the best interests of our client.

Our experience of non contentious work means that we can advise clients on all construction aspects of running a successful development project, from drafting and negotiating the building contract and associated documentation and professional team appointments to assisting the client with any legal issues arising during the course of a project.
